Ingredients for the samosa

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 teaspoon raisins
  • 2 cups potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • Black salt as needed
  • 1 tablespoon coriander leaves
  • 2 tablespoons ghee
  • 2 cups of refined oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander
  • 1 teaspoon green chillies
  • 1 teaspoon cashew nuts
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot spice powder
  • Salt as needed
  • 1 tablespoon cassava fenugreek leaves
  • 1 teaspoon carom seeds
  • 1/4 cup water







Step 1 Prepare the masala for the potato filling


To make this delicious dish, place a pan over medium heat and prepare the ingredients for the samosas. Add oil and when the oil is hot enough, add cumin seeds and let it slide.


Step 2 Add spices and boiled potatoes and cook for a while


Immediately, add coriander, ginger and green chillies. Simmer for a minute and then add chopped cashews and raisins, boiled and peeled potatoes, cumin powder, coriander powder, hot spice powder, red chilli powder, salt to taste, kasori fenugreek leaves, coriander leaves. Mix well and set for 2 minutes and your stuff is ready.


Step 3 Prepare the dough for the samosas


Now to make the dough, take a flour kneading plate and mix all kinds of flour with carom seeds and salt in it. Mix and then, add ghee and knead using a little flour. Make sure the dough turns out to be somewhat strong in its texture. Cover the dough with a muslin cloth and set aside for about half an hour.


Step 4 Roll the dough into small pieces and cut in half



Once done, remove some small balls from the flour. Flatten them further with the help of your palms and then with a rolling pin. Roll them out and cut them in half. Now dip your hands in the water, join the edges of the semicircle to shape it into a cone.


Step 5 Fill the semicircle with the potato filling and deep fry



Fill and fill the prepared mixture in it. Seal the ends properly by lightly pressing the edges with your fingers. Next, heat the oil in a pan and deep fry the samosas until golden brown and crispy. Serve with tomato ketchup and green sauce. Enjoy it like tea time breakfast

TIPS


  • To make the samosa properly, make sure you knead the hard or hard dough as the soft dough will not give good results.
  • Before kneading the dough, keep in mind that you do not need to work hard on it and add oil to the flour at least 5-6 times. This will ensure that you have crispy samosas.
  • Another thing you need to understand is that the samosa flour should be used after a little rest. Keep your dough for at least 40-60 minutes.
  • When rolling the dough ball, keep it thin and do not use flour in it. You can use a little oil to roll the ball evenly.
